Every day in December was like Christmas at SLN.

Pretty much every day we received a new Christmas card. And each card was meticulously made featuring pop-ups, oh-so-much glitter, poems, hand paintings, gingerbread and even a card powered by batteries that lit up.

You blew us all away. You filled our hearts. Peter may have even shed a tear. (No, we’re kidding, he outright bawled like a lost kid for a while. It was endearing.)

Since you all put so much work into your cards, we wanted to feature some of them. You know, to show off SLNer creativity. (All of the submitted cards are together at the bottom of the post.)

…But the Winner of the SLN Christmas Card Challenge Goes to…

Toko Hosoya from the Etobicoke School of the Arts! You’ve won $500 for your beautifully designed and executed multi-layered pop-up card. The card was inspired by a terrible joke that Toko got in a Christmas cracker. The joke: Why do birds fly south in the winter? Answer: Because they can’t afford to take the train! All of the designers on the SLN Christmas Card Contest Board of Directors lost their minds. Congrats, Toko.
